Obituary of Robert Cameron
Bob Cameron, 89, was born in Oakville Washington to James and Lucille (Houts) Cameron, the 2nd of three sons. He graduated from Camas High School in 1946, then joined the Navy. He returned to Camas and eventually became paymaster of the paper mill. Bob married Carolyn Bradford in 1951. They had 3 sons, Bob, Rick and Scott, and daughter Michele Emily who died at birth, along with wife Carolyn in 1962. He married Agnes Iori in 1963.
Bob was very active in his community. He coached baseball, was on the board of directors for Crown Camas (Lacamas) Credit Union, volunteered in schools to help kids read, was a volunteer fireman, served on the cemetery board, and was a member of the Lions. He was an avid golfer and even got a hole in one.
He is survived by his former wife Agnes, sons and their wives Bob and Susan, Rick and Rhonda, Scott and Pam, 5 grandchildren, Kale, Noel and husband Paul, Macauley, Jake and Morgan, his brother Jim and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Ron.
Mass will be September 7 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver staring at 1:00 PM. Reception will follow at 2:00 P.M.
