Obituary of Wilma Jean Waddle
Please share a memory of Wilma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wilma Jean Waddle passed away on Aug 7, 2018 due to a tragic fall in her home. She was 82 years old. Wilma was born in Tacoma, WA in 1936 to William Eugene Hanson and Esperanza “Hope” Garmendia. She was an only child; one of a kind you would say. Besides graduating from college with a master’s degree, Wilma spent her years as a Realtor, teacher, top sales rep, jewelry broker and a worldwide traveler. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to meet new people.
Wilma and Willis were well known for their famous Luaus held at their home for many years and holiday displays. Wilma had a great sense of humor and once said that if anyone had the opportunity to talk with her one last time after she was gone, she would say, and I quote: “Not Now, I’m Busy”! Wilma touched many people’s lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Willis Wesley Waddle, who passed of pancreatic cancer in 2007. They had four children together; Nancy Doherty (Dale), Bill Waddle (Gail), Richard Waddle (Aurora), and Terrie Rothman (Johnnie). They had a flock of grand children and great grand children. A celebration of life will be appropriately held on Wilma’s favorite holiday, Halloween, Oct 31, 2018. The location will be determined at a later date.
