I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. One encouraging thought you might find comforting is found at John 5:28, 29. “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” God gives us this beautiful hope that he will soon resurrect our dead loved ones and we can see them again on a paradise earth! My heart was broken when I heard Dan had passed away. I grew up across the street from Dan and we rode the bus together for many days. I still remember one day in elementary school when Dan decided he'd rather go home with a friend than to his own home. He had neglected to let his parents know this however. It took many hours to find Dan. None of the adults involved were very excited about this. He always had an easy going attitude and while we did not keep in contact he will be missed.

Dan was an amazing person! He was always bigger than whatever challenge he was faced with. He faced life with a genuine smile and concern for others and how they were doing. Dan was an awesome man. I was his nurse the day he had a bike accident that eventually led to his stroke. He worked hard to recover and even became a Stroke Ambassador- visiting patients in the hospital. Dan was all about “giving back” & helping others. He made a positive impact on my life by knowing him. I send prayers for his family and know in my heart - Dan left us doing what he loved— riding freely on his bike. I’ll miss you Dan!
