Obituary of Wilbert Walter Pfeifer
Wilbert Pfeifer passed away on January 18, 2019 at age 81. He was born to Harvey and Patricia Pfeifer on May 22, 1937 in Camas, WA as one of four children.
As a young boy, Wil started his career with his father in a milk truck delivering on local routes. He continued to work primarily in the milk processing industry as Production Manager and Chief Engineer.
Wilbert married Marie Susanna Mackey on June 2, 1958, at the Vancouver Courthouse and moved to Fern Prairie in 1969. They had 4 children together.
Sadly, Wil’s wife, Marie, preceded him in death in May of 2000, and his first-born granddaughter, Stephanie Jocelyn, who passed in May of 2018.
Upon Retirement, Wil spent his time outdoors pursuing hobbies; such as fishing, rock hounding, and traveling with his close friend Roberta. He also cherished playing Scrabble and card games with family and friends. In addition, he never missed the Annual Cowlitz Coin Show because of his passion as a numismatist.
He is survived by his three siblings, Wes Pfeifer of Ridgefield, David Pfeifer of Ocean Park, and Anita Thompson of Battleground; three daughters, Sherie Nicholson and Julie Brown of Vancouver, Peggie Scott of Camas, one son, Michael Pfeifer of Vancouver, five Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren.
