TROY JUSTIN PACE
Troy Justin Pace passed away peacefully at the tender age of 15 with all four parents holding his hands on September 25th, 2021. Troy had been fighting cancer and paralysis with a warrior’s spirit since June of 2020. He was working and grinding hard to get back the use of his legs and had already transitioned from a wheelchair to a walker. Ultimately, cancer DID NOT get the best of him! He was unexpectedly taken from us by blood clot that blocked his airway.
Troy was born on January 18, 2006, in Gresham, OR at the Mt. Hood Medical Center. He attended Highland Elementary School in Gresham, OR and went on to graduate from Woodburn Elementary School and Liberty Middle School in Camas, WA. He was a Sophomore at Camas High School with a 3.53 GPA despite his battle with cancer and paralysis. He was part of the “Big Red Machine” Camas band where he played the bass clarinet. Papermaker for Life!!!
Troy had an adventurous spirit always running, jumping, and climbing! He loved playing basketball, wrestling, track, soccer and especially football! He was a big part of helping his teams win district championships in both wrestling and football. He enjoyed playing Xbox with friends, watching YouTube/TikTok, snowboarding with his brothers, Drive-In movies and getting buried at the beach! He was a hot chip aficionado, loved all things BBQ and was always down for silly time with his siblings and pets (who miss him dearly)!
Troy is survived by two sets of parents. Clint (Justin) and Missy Pace and Joey and Crystal Achenbach. Troy was blessed with many siblings: Jacob 27, Derek 25, Alexandria (Aly) 25, Brooke 23, Jillian 21, Gabra 20, Ethan 17, Gabe 16 and Anneliese 13. He was cherished by his grandparents; Clint Pace and Karen Bird, Kathryn Iverson, Dennis and Jenn Boyd and Wanda Kyllo.
