Our family moved into a new house next door to DeBoevers in 1967. The house was 1/4 mile from the DeBoever farm. Being one year older, I spent many weekends playing Hoops in the 'Cow Palace' or baseball in the pasture with Dave, Joey DeBoever, and neighbor Steve Perry. Later played on the Tennis team and at UW, we were on an intramural Basketball team. I later ran across Dave at BPA, as I worked for a local PUD. Dave was a most humble person and easy to get along with. Why he liked to eat green strawberries I will never understand.

Dave was a good friend mostly thru email but we did have several in person meals together - this was a good one - right at the beginning of the pandemice and before we weren't masking and traveling so it was our last time to meet. Dave provided me wise counsel of stocks and life . I miss him already and will miss him long into the future. a
