Amanda Lynn Ward
Amanda “Amee” Lynn Ward passed away on January 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family after a brief and brutal battle with cancer.
Amee was born in Portland, Oregon on May 6, 1984 and grew up in Camas, attended Eastern Washington University and earned her Masters of Special Education at Concordia College, She became a Special Education Teacher at Camas High School where Amee will be remembered as a beloved teacher and friend by the staff and her students, who thrived under the program she built for them.
Amee is survived by her parents John & Betsy Ward, sister Jenn Potter, brother in law Ryan Potter, amazing nephew Dellas Potter and awesome niece Parker Potter, grandmother Holly Black and grandfather George Ward, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.
Amee enjoyed spending her free time camping, making trips to the beach with family & friends, golfing and relaxing on her spa get-a-way weekends.
A Public Gathering of Remembrance for Family & Friends will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 1:00PM at Get To Gather Farm 1913 SE 303rd Avenue, Washougal. (outdoor venue dress for weather, sturdy shoes advised)
The family asks that everyone continue Amee’s legacy for the love of learning and will be accepting donations at the service to develop a community based program being created in Amee’s memory for those students enrolled in ICP at Camas High. Donations may also be made to The Special Olympics.
