I started visiting Sue when I was about 14 years old. I would go weekly to ride horses, clean stalls, and play with the dogs. Over the years Sue and Jerry became family to me. I would always visit whenever I was in town and they have seen my own family grow over the years. Whenever I would come and visit she would demand that I sit down and she would try to feed me some snack as we talked.
Something that has always stuck out to me was much Sue and Jerry loved each other. Jerry would always say "Yes Mother" whenever Sue would argue with him and then Sue would smile. It always made me laugh. But you could always see the love and respect they had for each other.
Thank you Sue for always being there for me and for all of our wonderful conversations. Your home will always be a special place for me. Especially the barn where we spent so much time talking as we cleaned, fed, and worked with the horses. I still have the hobby horse quilt you gave me. Thank you again for everything. I will miss you.
