We met Tom through his sweetheart, Carol. It was an acquaintance that was far too short.
We are so sorry for this huge loss to you, his family, and we pray that God will wrap you all with His comfort and peace as you adjust to the empty chair in your family circle.

I first met Tom in 2023. We met in my capacity as manager of a lumber office after a salesman asked me to join him to meet with Tom to play golf and have drinks. Turns out my colleague was not very good at golf and was also not good at drinking, however, Tom and I quickly discovered we were good at both. A lifelong friendship began that day.
When Tom met Carol, my wife Patti and I fell in love with her and knew that Tom had found a wonderful partner. We all spent many good times together. One of Tom’s favorite events was the annual crab feed at the Willamette Valley Country Club). My Dad, Emory Sr., also adopted both Tom and Carol and even called Carol his “girlfriend”. Tom was very understanding of this. There are too many wonderful times and adventures to share here.
Tom was like the brother I never had. He holds a spot in my heart which will never be replaced.

We met Tom and Carol at the Brownsville music festival and enjoyed several RV trips and an Alaskan trip together. Tom was always a lot of fun to be around and full of lumber stories.
We enjoyed visiting each others’ homes. Tom loved his view of Mt Hood and chasing around his beloved cat Cinnamon. We loved watching Tom and Carol dance and shared many good brews together!
So sorry that we didn’t have many more years of adventures together. RIP, Tom!
