MARGARET E. BRADSHAW
Margaret E. Bradshaw, age 96, passed away on March 6, 2013. She was born at her parents' home in southeastern Nebraska January 25, 1917. Born to Bodle T. Carroll and Esther Florinda Locke Carroll, she was one of eight children including Ward, Bruce, Odessa, Margaret, James, Beatrice, Robert, and Edna. She grew up and attended school in the area of her birth. She graduated from High School in Franklin, Nebraska.
She married Clifford T. Bradshaw on December 5th, 1933. Together they raised five sons: Ralph, Gene, Pat, Gary, and Dennis. A sixth boy passed at birth.
Cliff, Margaret, Ralph, and Gene moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1937, and eventually settled in Washougal. Margaret and Cliff worked various jobs in the Washougal area eventually finding employment with the Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas. Margaret retired from Crown Zellerbach in 1972.
Margaret enjoyed many activities such as gardening, garage sales, quilting, crocheting, reading, and traveling. She was a member of the Sunnyside Club and attended Camas Nazarene Church.
Margaret truly loved her family and was very proud of each and every one of her brood, which spanned six generations at the time of her death. The youngest is a 15-month old great- great- great-grandson. She is survived by her five sons and their spouses: Ralph and Deanna of Camas, Gene and Lois of Washougal, Pat and Beverly of Clatskanie, OR, Gary of Yuma, AZ, and Dennis and Glorena of The Dalles, OR; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild, 3 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford, son Baby Boy, daughter-in-Law Tammy, granddaughter Brenda, her parents, and seven siblings.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11AM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. A reception will follow at 12:30 PM at the Camas Nazarene Church. Burial will be private at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00AM to 10:30AM on Saturday.
