Obituary of Marguerite London

MARGUERITE LONDON Marguerite London, age 96, passed away Tuesday, June 15 in Camas. She was born June 21, 1907 in Canon City, CO and grew up in San Diego, CA. She met Jack London in Southern California and they were married in Inglewood, CA in 1925. After retirement they moved to the Bay area and then to the Camas area in 1981. Mrs. London went to business college later in life and also got her real estate license. Marguerite was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Evangeline Chapter and Delphinian Society in Eugene, OR. She also belonged to the White Shrine in Campbell, CA. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge and pinochle, and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1974. Survivors include her son, Dick London of Washougal; daughter, Carolyn Thompson of Camas; half brother, Leroy Westenberg of Seattle; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Graveside services will be held at Los Gatos Memorial Park in Los Gatos, CA. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
