Obituary of Marvin Jesse Lund

MARVIN JESSE LUND Marvin Lund, age 80, passed away Friday, November 19 at SW Washington Medical Center. He was born February 1, 1924 in South Gate, CA to Alfred and Bertha Elwood Lund. He grew up in California and served in the Navy during WWII. He later tended bar at several local bars in Camas and Washougal. Marvin also worked at the Pendleton Woolen Mill in Washougal. He retired after 12 years in 1988. Mr. Lund enjoyed music and dancing. He even used to sing a at USO clubs. Marvin liked traveling and horses. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Prickett and brothers, Oscar and Alfred Lund. Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Hayes of Citrus Heights, CA; brothers, Floyd and Don Lund both of Washougal and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Tuesday, November 30 at 6:30 PM at the Floyd Lund residence at 3777 Addy St. #19 in Washougal. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
