I was out of country when Joe my nephew passed away. I loved him so much and he was the dearest one to me. He was very close to his Aunt Dorothy and I have many fun and happy memories of him. My heart was with his family. I was in Russia at that time. Love always from your Aunt Dorothy

Sorry to hear about Joe\'s passing. I was out of town during the time and had to miss the service. Not a lot one can say during these times, except to note Joe was a great person to be around. He never failed to make me laugh. We had a lot of fun playing cards, attending events and just being stupid. My prayers go to all in the family.

I attended high school with Joe and later, WWU when he lived in Highland Hall. It was at Western that I really got to know Joe better. We lost touch when he left Bellingham, but I later met him at a meeting and we shared old times.
I will always remember Joe\'s humor and how he loved to be around others. I\'m saddened by his passing yet know that his higher power has embraced him.
Best wishes to the Hubbard family.

To Joe, whom it would\'ve concerned...
I was recently made aware of Joe\'s pre-mature passing. My name is Jeffrey Kinart, an old friend of Joe\'s 30 years past.
Joe and I had shared our thoughts on life over the last few months. He was a very brave man and faced his health problems like I would\'ve expected him to. He dealt with it.
We hadn\'t seen each other since 1975, a day in late spring on which we graduated. During our last conversation he said he was feeling better, but felt the chemo was getting the best of him. High doses of chemo will eventually destroy the immune system until the precious immune system just purely gives up. The way I see it, his immune system gave up, not Joe.
Where ever Joe heads from here is pure speculation, but one thing is for sure, he will bang anyone over the head with a folding chair, anyone, who dis-honors another or judges another unfairly. Joe was one of the most non-judgemental people I met in my youth, and that is a trait very underrated in today\'s politically correct and hypocritical society.
Please pass this letter and/or my love and condolence to his parents Bing and Carabelle, they will remember my close feelings for Joe.
Kind regards,
Jeffrey Kinart

WHEN WE WERE GROIWNG UP WASHOUGAL WASN\'T MUCH OF ANYTHING. EVERY KID KNEW EVERY KID IN TOWN. AS WELL AS MOST OF THEIR BROTHERS, SISTER\'S AND PARENTS. I\'VE BEEN LOOKING AT SOME OF MY GRADE SCHOOL CLASS PICTURES. JOE WAS IN QUITE A FEW OF THEM. AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I STILL FEEL THAT SMALL TOWN BOND. I\'M SURE MANY OTHERS SHARE YOUR SENSE OF LOSS AND OFFER THEIR HEART FELT SUPPRORT. I HOPE IT COMFORTS ALL OF YOU HOW MANY PEOPLE CARE.
