Obituary of Wayne Scott

Wayne Scott of Camas passed away Thursday, January 13 in Vancouver. He was 96. Wayne was born November 14, 1908 in Bismarck, ND where he grew up. He traveled to the Oregon Coast when he was 18. He found work and stayed in the area. He moved to Clark County in 1937 and went to work for Crown Zellerbach and later for Portco in Vancouver. After that he operated his own pallet company for 20 years. Mr. Scott enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rzella, in 1995. Survivors include his son, David of Astoria, OR; daughter, Sally Mueller of Washougal; sister, Dora Baumann of California; grandchildren, Raymon Whitten of Washougal, Brenda Hubbard of Camas; great grandchildren, Kattie and Kristina Hubbard of Camas. A funeral service will be Monday, January 17 at 2pm at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will be Tuesday at 10am at the Camas Cemetery.
