Obituary of Marguerite Jorgenson

MARGUERITE JORGENSON Marguerite Jorgenson, age 87, passed away Wednesday, March 2 in Vancouver. She was born October 6, 1917 in Chicago, IL where she was raised. In 1935 she married Palmer Jorgenson and the moved to Wisconsin and she began working as a bookkeeper. During WWII they moved to San Francisco and she worked fro the Bank of America while Palmer was in the Merchant Marines. After the war they moved back to Wisconsin and then to Camas in 1951. Marguerite worked part time at the National Bank of Commerce, now the Bank of America, and helped her husband build houses. She was a member of her book club for 50 years and an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer, in 1992. Survivors include her son, Neil of Portland, OR; daughter, Linda Scott of England and 4 grandchildren. A funeral service will be Wednesday, March 9 at 11am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Burial will be private at the Camas Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
