Obituary of Henry Scott

HENRY SCOTT Henry Scott, age 84, passed away Saturday, June 11 in Dallesport, WA. He was born April 18, 1921 in Lost Lake, MT and moved to Camas as a young boy. He graduated from Camas High School in 1939 and married Georgia Warren that same year. He went to work for Crown Zellerbach paper mill in Camas and was then drafted into the Army during WWII. He returned to Camas and worked at the mill until he retired in 1977. They then moved to Goldendale, WA where they lived until a year ago when they moved to Dallesport, WA. Henry raised bees, miniature horses and African Violets. He was also a winemaker, rock hound, carpenter and a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Georgia at home; daughters, Jean Linhart of Roseburg, OR; Ann Carter of Florence, OR, Mary Steinmeyer of Vancouver; sons, Henry L. Scott of Goldendale, WA, Edward Scott of Dallesport, WA; sister, Mary Brown of Beaverton, OR; brother, Emmett Scott of Vancouver, WA; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be Wednesday, June 15 at 2pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.
