Obituary of Kathleen Ann Ghazarians

KATHLEEN ANN GHAZARIANS Kathleen Ghazarians, age 73, passed away Tuesday, August 30 in Vancouver. She was born February 22, 1932 in New Castle, England to John & Elizabeth Sullivan Stewart. Kathleen grew up in Scotland and moved to Boston in 1958. She married Ralph Ghazarians in 1959 and they lived in Boston until moving to Los Angeles in 1962. She lived in LA until moving to Vancouver in 1989 to be near family. She was a member of the Catholic Church?s in the Vancouver area and used to do prison ministry. She also volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul and was a lector in the church. Kathleen was an excellent cook, went to daily mass and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph and a brother, John Stewart. Survivors include her daughters, Tina Powell of Washougal; Ann Ghazarians and Gaye Pettibone both of Los Angeles; son, Kevin Ghazarians of Los Angeles; sister, Mary McAlindon of Scotland; brothers, Tommy and Patrick Stewart both of Ireland; and 10 grandchildren. A vigil service was Friday, September 2 at 7pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas. A funeral mass was Saturday, September 3 at 11am also at St. Thomas.
