Obituary of Dorothy W. Rogers

DOROTHY W. ROGERS Dorothy Rogers, age 92, passed away November 15, 2005 in Vancouver, WA. She was born January 31, 1913 in Welcome, MN to Charles and Flora Wales and was raised in Van Hook, ND. Dorothy worked as a linotype operator at Nazarene Publishing House in Kansas City, MO until 1949. She married Wilber A. Rogers on June 10, 1948. They retired to the Washougal area in 1979. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber in August of 1985; brothers, Harold, George and Ralph Wales; and sister, Loretta Laurence. Survivors include her son, James Rogers and his wife Shari of Nampa, ID; daughter, Carol Jacobson and her husband, Ned of Davis, CA; grandchildren, Aubrey Jacobson and her partner Sule Suleiman of Davis, CA, Ryan Jacobson and his wife, Amy of Incirlik, Turkey Air Base where he is stationed in the Air Force. A funeral service will be Saturday, November 19 at 10 am at the Church of the Nazarene in Washougal. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver.
