Uncle Loyd was the first person I remember putting his arm across my shoulder and making me feel so special. It was the summer that Grandma and I took the train to Washington to visit. I was in the 7th grade and Judy and I were sitting on the couch together with him as he reached across. It\'s a vivid memory and it is special because it wasn\'t something that happened in a large South Dakota farm family.
I remember the days in the cabin in the woods, the horseback riding; picking strawberries; seeing my first huge fireworks display and being part of a special family. I think of you with love and fondness.
I recall him as a quiet, strong, gentle man. I\'m sorry for your loss. Take Care.
