Obituary of Lucille B. Oates

LUCILLE B. BOTTLER OATES Lucille Oates, age 80, born May 19, 1925 on 8 Mile Creek Ranch, Montana eldest granddaughter of the first white rancher on the upper Yellowstone River, saddled a fast horse on January 3, 2006 after a long struggle following surgery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemley E. Oates on Feb. 14, 1997. She is survived by her sister, Marie Malin of Tucson, AZ; her four children, Bonnie Oates, Leo Oates, Connie Gazow and Paul Oates of Vancouver and Camas, WA; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Private cremation was held at Columbia River Crematory with Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas in charge of the arrangements.
