Obituary of George H. Evans

GEORGE H. EVANS George Evans, age 80, passed away Saturday, January 7th at home in Camas. He was born January 25, 1925 in Seattle, WA to Bertrand and Mary Heslin Evans. George was raised in Edmonds, WA and joined the Army serving in WWII. He later worked in the retail grocery business for 10 years and then became a tanker driver for Shell Oil Company for 13 years before he retired. Mr. Evans has spent the past 15 years in Camas. He is survived by his sons, Craig of Washougal, Nehl of Sedro Woolley, WA, Robert of Lynnwood, WA and Raymond of Port Hueneme, CA; step-sons, Robb Nehl of Seattle and James Nehl of Camano, Island, WA and 12 grandchildren. A funeral service will be Monday, January 16 at 11am at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will be private at Willamette National Cemetery.
