Obituary of Marie Emma Norton

MARIE EMMA NORTON Marie Norton, age 84, passed away Wednesday, February 1in Vancouver. She was born December 29, 1921 in Goldendale, WA and was raised in Camas where she graduated from high school. In 1945 she married Paul Norton and together they traveled around before settling back in Camas. Marie worked at Crown Zellerbach for a short time before becoming a homemaker. She had spent the past three years living at Cascade Park Care Center where she loved to play Bingo. Marie also collected dolls and enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1998. Survivors include her children, Betty Ahrendt of Gearhart, OR, Charlene Cloud of Vancouver, Duane Norton of Washougal; brothers, Frank and Charles DeTemple both of Camas; sister, Lucille Brown of Battleground, WA; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Saturday, February 4 at 10am at the Washougal Church of the Nazarene. Vault interment will follow at the Camas Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10am to 5pm at Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas. Straub?s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
