Obituary of Edith ''Mae'' Hammond

EDITH ?MAE? HAMMOND Edith ?Mae? Hammond, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in Vancouver after an extended illness. She was born May 4, 1921 in Pocatello, ID to Alson and Edith Remington. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the Portland Oregon Temple . She is survived by her husband, Dick and sons, Jay Richards and Terry Hammond. Mae and her husband were long time residents of Salem , Oregon and had recently relocated to the Vancouver area to be closer to their sons. Mae, we love and honor you for your many acts of service and sacrifice. We hold you in our hearts ?till we meet again?. A funeral service will be Wednesday, September 13 at 11:30am at the Prune Hill Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Camas. Viewing will be at the Church starting at 11am. Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
