JACK FIELDS
Jack Fields, age 74, passed away December 23 at home in Vancouver. He was born March 13, 1933 in Paxton, IL and moved to Camas at the age of 10. It was at that age he met his future wife, Phyllis Eggegraaten. Jack enlisted enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 and married Phyllis in 1953. After being discharged in 1956 he moved back to Camas and later in Vancouver. Jack held many jobs but for the last 10 working years he spent with Aphis Ready Mix in Camas. He sang gospel music with many different groups traveling all over the U.S. and Canada. Jack also loved horseback riding, hunting and camping. He was a member of the Camas Nazarene Church and other Nazarene churches wherever he lived.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Vancouver; sons, Randy Fields of Battle Ground, Michael Fields of Camas; brother, Robert Fields of Vancouver; sisters, Patricia Henriksen of Ridgefield, Shirley Rebensburg of Vancouver, Janice Yaun of Philadelphia, PA and 4 grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, December 29 at 1pm at the Camas Nazarene Church. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of the arrangements. To send condolences or to sign the online guest book visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
