This image of Kristin, just taken in February, is a perfect illustration of how I think of her. Life was an adventure for Kristin and I'm very lucky to have shared so many with her. No matter what turns and obstacles life presented, Kristin navigated them with enthusiasm and passion for the moment. I've been lucky to share in adventures in Greece, Rome, Disneyland, as a Goonie, and many others. But Kristin made even the mundane routines of everyday life so very special with laughter and a love for life. She made everything a little brighter and more fun. While my hearts aches with a heavy sadness, I choose to focus on the beautiful moments and cherished memories like this one.

Kristin was such a kind and caring person. I wish I could’ve known her longer, but I enjoyed the brief time we spent together getting to know each other. She accepted this “unusually nice New Yorker” (as some KC friends like to say) as just another member of the overall friend group. I always appreciated Kristen for making me feel welcome.

To our dear, sweet friend Kristin and her family, we so deeply mourn her passing from this Earth. The minute we met her from across the street we knew she was a beautiful soul and light-hearted beautiful person inside and out. We got to share some special moments around campfires, in the woods and in their home...but not nearly enough. We don't know why your journey here had to end so abruptly but we will continue smiling at the memories we do have and being forever thankful you are no longer suffering. You have left behind one amazing husband, two charming children and hundreds of others who were lucky enough to have met you. We will carry your light with us always.

I will miss you dearly my friend. You and I have been cancer buddies for the last year and a half. The strength, encouragement, love and kindness you have given me has made such a difference in my life. Any bad day for me was always met with your warmth, love and care. We laughed, cried and researched together. I couldn't have done this without you. You also gave me the gift of your kids who have your spirit and soul. I miss you every day but know you are pain free and happy. I am a better person for knowing you. Claire x
