As a young man, dear Sophie taught me so much about the resturant business and life itself. She was a great, strong little lady full of wisdom and kindness, humor and love. I remember having mixed feelings at her wedding with Tom. Happy she would be with the love of her life and sad that Tom was taking her away from us. My deepest sympathies go out to her family. Sophie\'s passing has forever left an empty spot in my heart, but will make heaven an even greater place!

When I was 15, Sophie gave me my first job as a busboy at the Parker House in Washougal. It was the beginning of a career in the restaurant business that would last until I was 30. Sophie taught me that the details were important and that the customer is always The Customer. I was saddened to read of her passing and even sadder to hear that she lived so close and I never knew it. I have always wanted to thank her for the example she set and the opportunity she gave me. Thank you Sophie!

Gigi is the only grandmother I have ever known, and will always be for my entire life. I loved her very much and I will miss her! While I was away at school in Western Samoa, half way around the world, she made and sent me about three dozen cookies. I will never forget that. Gigi is the most selfless person I have ever met.

Kim and Family, Sophie was one of the most wonderful people I had every met. Gosh remember the time we begged her to make a pie and bring to the office. Being the nice person she was, she did it. Bless her heart. She will be missed. Love Glo

When I was probably about 6 I would always go over to Grandma GiGi\'s and we would bake cookies together. She made the best cookies. One time she gave our family about two dozen Chocolate chip cookies and they were gone in atleast 10 minutes.

Sophie was a wonderful second mother to me and grandmother to our children. I will miss her so very much, she was my best friend and confidant. Her sense of humor, wisdom and candor were remarkable. I am so greatful that she and my Dad met and married; Dad was lost without Mom and because of Sophie found happiness and fulfillment. She was a gift to us all.

GiGi made an everlasting impression on my life. I remember her superlative kindness, as well as the caring and loving nature she always exhibited. She was so thoughtful, genuine, and supportive.
